Leisure for all

Sharing the love of the journeys, the leisure activities and the culture, we wish to make discover to the disabled persons in particular, but also to all the curious and enthusiasts, diverse horizons.

We indeed make the report that the disabled persons are very often excluded from it due to the lack of means, of information, and accompaniment but certainly not due to the lack of envy!

Facilitate the access of the disabled persons

Our objective thus is to propose cultural outings and journeys adapted to most of us, and to share the experiences of some and the others.

We also want to participate in the collective actions against the discriminations, so that the disabled persons have the same rights in access for the leisure activities.

Our projects

Tour in Bali

After an initial tour in Bali with a group of ten people including four disabled motor and two blind for fifteen days in December 2009, we will repeat this adventure in 2010.

- Facilitate the discovery of Bali and its very rich and unique culture, its temples and its magnificent landscapes, its delicious cooking, the warm contact with its inhabitants and its harmonious, sophisticated way of life influenced by the Balinese-like Hinduism concerned by the preservation of cosmos balance...

- Help financially the persons most heavily handicapped "to go towards other horizons". We shall take care of all or some of the expenses due to the necessity of having an auxiliary of life to accompany them, thanks to our active search for donations and subsidies.

Horizons Décalés Festival

On 11 and 12 June 2010, at the headquarters of the association Verquières will host the first festival Horizons Décalés.

The aim is to invite and promote artists' differently abled "or works relevant to disability. Whether in the field of performing arts (drama, dance), music (musicians, singers), art (sculpture, painting ...), writing or video. We want to show that we also bring culturally to the society in which we live.

A dynamic team

Alain Comoli, president Big traveler for more than 25 years, I visited during several months about forty countries. It is not our driving, sensory, psychic or mental limits which have to prevent us from going to see somewhere else ; nothing is impossible ! Associative activist " handicapist ", fighting the discriminations and the exclusion of which we are the object, I wish to put into practice the principle of peer's emulation.

Annabelle Didier, treasurer During my studies in business school, I followed a part-time training within an association of development aid, for which I occupied the posts of treasurer and leader of a project in India. I also made a training course of one year for an Indian NGO (ecological toilets), and an exchange of six months in South-Africa.
